I’m a Level 1 Equestrian Australia NCAS General Coach and Skill Specific Training Assessor (SSTA). I’ve taught a range of students from 4 year olds through to 60 + years. I have experience teaching a range of different levels from those who have never been on a horse before to those that are already comfortable cantering and going over some jumps.

I grew up on a farm learning to ride from a very young age, so young I don’t even remember my first pony. I competed extensively at pony club and open shows in a range of disciplines from hacking in the show ring to campdrafting. The main area I focus on now is showjumping. I have competed in many showjumping competitions including at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Currently I am training my off the track thoroughbred who I compete in showjumping, training horses in liberty and competing two stock horses in the showring.

I’ve been teaching horse riding since 2007 and have worked at a number of riding schools in Sydney. This has enabled me to grow as an instructor learning different systems so that I can adapt my lessons to suit people with disabilities as well. My focus in lessons is not on therapy, but teaching all riders to be confident and safe around and on horses even if they have limiting factors.
